Every time I talk to a new customer it becomes clearer to me how important it is for the employees of a company to have the business information at their fingertips, for example, the mere fact of being able to respond accurately and promptly when a customer calls us to ask about the status of their order or the service we are providing gives the business a differentiating factor with the competition and creates a sense of satisfaction in the customer.
One time a customer was telling me how amazed he was with a cloud service he had implemented in his company, because even when he was on the road he could see in real time the sales made during the week, check the current inventory, review the purchase history and even make a sale. And if there’s one good thing about cloud solutions, it’s that it puts your business information at your fingertips no matter where you are.
One of our projects consists of a mobile application that guides inspectors to digitally document the findings found on site, users told me that one of the functions that would help them most is to be able to consult the tables of values used to measure the impact of the finding and once the inspection is completed to make available the results of the inspection quickly to stakeholders, which again brings to light the importance of having the information at your fingertips.
Today we live in a highly dynamic and changing environment must act quickly to new customer needs so making quick decisions is key to success and to make good decisions is necessary to have the necessary information at hand, hence the importance of investing in digital solutions to ensure access to information at all times.
